ONI's Budget Advisory Committee (BAC) plans to present both the required cut proposals, which for ONI are between 16% and 18% of our budget, as well as what they call "The Right Budget for ONI." Under the Right Budget, ONI would lose 10% of its budget, but would not be as challenged afterwards to continue our core services to the public as we would if we sustained the deeper cuts. Attending these hearings will not only give you an opportunity to check out the presentation but it lets you show your support for such things as the new commission on disabilities by your presence in the audience. If you would like more info or need and accommodation to attend call me (503) 823 9466.
WHEN: Tuesday, March 10th, from 11:00-11:30am
This is the last meeting of the group that was brought together to look into SB716 (the bill around on street parking accommodation for people with disabilities). This is a public meeting and there is time for public comment. The report will be finalized and a date will be set to go to council. I am happy to send out the recommendations to folks when PDot releases the report. As some of you know the Majority of the committee is advocating that council not restrict onstreet parking but instead beef up enforcement and look into alternatives like lower rates at smart parks. If you agree with these recommendations it will be very important to come and support the disability community once the council date is set. I will keep folks updated as the information becomes available.

These days most businesses are faced with fear, uncertainty and doubt.
There is fear of the unknown. What is going to happen to my business? How will I build my clientele? What happens if I lose that contract?
There is the fear of the known. I need to deal with the economy. I have to let go of an employee. I need to manage my stress.
Finding gold nuggets requires us to ask the tough questions:
- Are we in control of our business or is our business in control of us?
- Do I take care of my business needs before I take care of my own needs?
- Are there gold nuggets available to overcome the barriers I am facing today?
- Can I work through the fears of the unknown and known without losing sight of the gold nuggets?
These are tough questions to answer. Join Kedma Ough, MBA as we uncover the gold nuggets that are out there waiting to be found. These are opportunities unturned for many of us; that can help move our businesses into alignment with our values.
In this interactive session participants will learn how to use their values to evaluate goals that lead to the gold nuggets. In addition, hidden economic resources will be discussed that can redefine your business model.
Participants will leave the presentation with at least one gold nugget to support their business moving forward!
